Merry Christmas from The Night Yard Team

19 December 2019

As we are sure you all saw last week we are recuiting for a new Venue and Events Manager.  Which does mean that as we see out the old year of 2019, we also say goodbye to Nancy, our Venue Manager.  Nancy has been at The Night Yard for 3 years, we know she will miss all of our lovely couples and is sad to be leaving.  Nancy has been an integral part of the team during her time at The Night Yard, delivering amazing weddings and creating such an amazing space.  Nancy is moving to SpeechLink based at the Innovation centre and we wish her every success in her new job.

With the new year we bring the excitement of welcoming Mirelle, the General Manager of HICO, and our new venue and events manager when they arrive.  Julia, who has now been with us for nearly 2 years, will be a familiar face for many of you and is here to answer any of your Venue enquiries and wedding questions.

Welcome to our new General Manager, Mirelle Frost
I am very excited to join the team as General Manager.  Highland Court Farm is a beautiful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Kent and its wedding venue The Night Yard is an excellent example of how redundant farm buildings can be preserved, enjoyed and shared with the public.  Previously I have worked as a CEO of a Kent based charity helping disadvantaged people with learning, physical or mental health difficulties to learn practical skills to become employed or self-employed.  I have also worked across the country in a number of roles for The National Trust were I enjoyed working in an outdoor environment helping to conserve the countryside, preserve historic buildings and increase accessibility for all, whilst maintaining a balance of innovation and change to cover the expenditure costs of countryside guardianship.  It is an exciting time for The Night Yard which will celebrate its 5th year by expanding its reach as HICO Events Ltd with a number of new projects in the pipeline.  HICO itself is approaching 100 years of being a family owned business, providing local employment, food and opportunities in our rural community.
