Are We There Yet?

09 June 2017

Here at The Night Yard nestled in the heart of our working farm in Kent people can let their hair down and kick off their heals and simply enjoy their time with us. There is something about The Night Yard which is instantly relaxing and calming and once the gates are closed the shoulders drop and the smiles come out!

Although we are tucked away within apple orchards we are still easy to get too and our local City of Canterbury has a lot to offer! (We are 10 minutes from Canterbury.)

Firstly getting here...

We have a great connection on and off the A2. Just take the Barham/Kingston turning and follow the signs to 'Highland Court Farm'.

Canterbury West train station is home to the High Speed Rail Service which takes 56 minutes to St Pancras International. Perfect for those that want to come down on the day and get home to their own bed. With the last train leaving around 22:39.

Highland Court Farm is just off Coldharbour Lane which is lucky enough to have its own bus stop at the end! This serviced by the No 16 and No 17 bus (getting off at Bishopsbourne Turn.) The buses run at 25 minutes past and 10 minutes to every hour.

Why not make the weekend of it!..

There is always something going on during the summer months in Canterbury and if there isn't a festival or fair then there is always some great shopping and restaurants and the beautiful Canterbury Cathedral! If you have kiddywinks (small and big!) then delights such as Howletts Zoo or Wingham Wildlife Park are great.... or for a bit of fun take a trip to the renovated seaside favorite 'Dreamland' which will bring back lots of fun childhood memories.

Bed for the night?...

Canterbury has sooo much accommodation/options and styles! A simple Google search will bring a multitude of different hostelries. There are Premier Inn's to Boutique hotels and all are a 10-15 minutes taxi ride away.

We also have a few local ones which we have either visited or had recommended. Take a look HERE. This list features accommodation which is great for groups, air b and b's, shepherds huts and many more.

Unfortunately we do not offer camping on site although there is several local campsites one of which is part of the Camping and Caravanning Club set in Bekesbourne. Take a look HERE.

Google is a great tool for finding things to do in Canterbury, Restaurants in Canterbury and much more but if there is something specific that you would like a hand with or a recommendation then please do get in touch!
